A man who participated in the January 6th riots will be receiving up to four years in prison. Geoffrey Sills of Mechanicsville, Virginia was sentenced to up four years in prison for stealing a police baton and using a strobe light to blind police.
Sills is charged on assault with a deadly weapon and robbery. He arrived at the Capitol building with a gas mask and goggles. He was also throwing pole-like objects at police. In the Lower West Terrace tunnel, he pointed a strobe light at officers. Sills took video of events that occurred and uploaded to social media before deleting his account.
